About Joe & Anna

Joe and Anna Stringer built a life rooted in family, faith, and resilience. Joe was born on November 2, 1888 in Cassville, Missouri. Anna was born on April 28, 1898 in Barry County, Missouri. They were married on January 9, 1915 in Cassville, Missouri. Joe was 25 and Anna was 16 (with the consent of her father in writing).

Joe and Anna raised 10 children. Aaron Clifford Stringer was born in 1915 (November 17 for those doing the math). Aaron married Edith Dorthea Garrett. Herchel Cline (Bud) Stringer was born on June 12, 1917. Bud married Willa Dean Horner. George Elmer Stringer was born on August 5, 1919 and married Frances Elizabeth Cronier. Herman Lee Stringer was born on October 21, 1921 and married Mary Dorthlan Earls. Elzie Lucine (Luke) Stringer was born on February 1, 1924 and married Wilma Jean Kimball on July 3, 1948. Joseph Stringer, Jr. was born on November 28, 1925 and married Mary Ann Munson on August 27, 1949. John Henry Stringer was born on January 21, 1927 and married Nova Dean Eagleson. Verlin Wade Stringer was born on December 21, 1931 and was never married. Elsie Nina Stringer was born on June 13, 1934 and married Roy Kenneth (Ken) Cooper. Dorothy Lou Stringer was born on June 17, 1937 and married Roy Kenneth Fairchild.

Their legacy continues through their children, grandchildren, and the generations that follow. This site is dedicated to preserving the history they began.

What’s New

April 29, 2026 I wrote the code to send birthday emails based on the birthdate provided when the user signs up. It is a short and sweet message, however we can change it to whatever we want to receive. It will be one message for everybody.
April 22, 2026 I rewrote a lot of the map code and have it working the way I want. I am not 100% sure there are no bugs or issues that need to be fixed. You can see ancestor information without being logged in, however if you want to edit or add people, you must be logged in. I removed the link from the left navigtion and placed it on the Genealogy page towards the bottom in the Explore More of Our Family History. It is the first tile.
April 20, 2026 Today I pushed out the "Atlas" page. This is a map that will allow us to enter people and various events in their life. For example, we can enter where a person arrived in the United States. Where they lived at certain points in their life. Where they were born. Where they died. Where they are buried. You can select a single person to see just the events for that person. I know there are still some programming issues, but I wanted to get this out so that everyone could see it. I think it will be a lot of fun to look at once everything is working properly and we start entering people's information.
April 11, 2026 After finding out that our photo gallery was not going to work, I ordered a Virtual Private Server (VPS) to serve our pages. Having this server allows me to control everything on the server. The shared hosting was blocking the site from saving the photos to Flickr. Since I control everything on this web server, I was able to utilize Flickr for our albums. So last night and today, I spent hours acquiring the VPS and once it was available to me, configuring the web server and everything I needed to make our site work. I am happy to announce that everything I tested after making the move is working. I added some touch-up to the photo gallery and it is now available. You can create a new gallery while you are logged in. You can only view galleries that are marked Public if you are not logged in.
